Regen command and related commands appear to be slow

Hi,

I'm facing delay from time to time in Regen command & all other related commands (Save, Switching between Model & Layout, ... etc); In all drawings I have.
I searched in prev-posts(1, 2); but nothing help.

Any one can help

Design centre will lag commands if it is open.

Really? I have quite a bit of lag sometimes.
I will have to try closing it for a week.
I will let you know if it helps me out.

Is this a known issue posted by Autodesk?

Sometimes regens are slow when there are non continuous linetypes and a very small ltscale. Try changing LTSCALE to 10000 and see if the regens are any faster.

I have no idea if Autodesk has posted it, I had the lag problem a while back and keeping the design centre closed when not in use fixed it for me.

Tried closing the Design Center, seems to help a bit, thanks. But I also found that the REGENAUTO system variable was set to ON, I changed it to OFF (just have to keep an eye out for the regen qued notification) and it seems to help out a whole lot, especially when switching layout tabs.

On
Regenerates the drawing immediately if any suppressed regenerations exist in the queue and continues to regenerate automatically whenever you perform an action that requires regeneration.

Off
Inhibits regeneration of the drawing until you use the REGEN or REGENALL command, or set REGENAUTO to on.

Me too. I have been loading dimstyles from design center. I will have to find
a workaround.

I wonder if it is more than just design center. I notice sometimes that the Dashboard and Quick Calc seem to blink. I always have them set to autohide.

In 06, I kept my Properties Pallet open until I noticed how hard it hit my system. I learned that just about anything which updates anytime the cursor moves puts a dent in your ram.
