    Default Deleting Temp Files

Firstly to apologize for putting this in the wrong forum - mainly because I don't know where it should go.

Now to the question: There is a folder called temp C: Documents and SettingsRob (My profile Name)Local settingsTemp

This folder seems to hold all of my computing activities over the last 3 years and is 11Gb in size.

What would happen if I were to delete the contents of this folder? I notice it has about 100 sub folders as well as several thousand files not contained in sub folders.

    Thanks,
    Rob

I've never had trouble deleting those. I even press shift-del to avoid the recycle bin.

Also, searching for *.00??.r* will get those Revit files for deleting.

It shouldn't be a problem to manually delete them, but the "safe" way to do this is to right click on the hard drive, select properties, and then select "disk cleanup".

After a few minutes of calculating, you get a list of items. Select anything that looks appropriate (however, do not select "compress old files"). Specifically the "Temporary files" is the one you want - that should take care of most of it.

Thanks. In two short responses there is a better way then I had bargained for. Fantastic.

I like that way to delete the Revit files as well - much better than manually. It was a job on my list that I have been putting off for several months now.
