Default Undo appears slow in AutoCAD 2008 when compared to AutoCAD 2007

I've noticed after switching to AutoCAD 2008 that using CTR Z (undo command) is relatively slow compared with '07. In 2007 it was instantaneous and now it takes roughly 5 seconds which is very annoying. The AutoCAD command for undo ("u" & enter) works faster though. Any thoughts or suggestions?

I haven't had this problem. What actions is it having a problem with? If you draw a line segment and then ctrl+z is that still instantaneous? Does ctrl+z enter _u on the command line on your machine?

Actually, it seems to work fine now. Yesterday and this morning AutoCAD 2008 was acting really clunky but now it seems to have stopped. I just reformatted my computer and loaded 2008 in place of 2007 have been having other miscelaneous problems as well so I'm hoping that it fixed itself.

Guys, check if your using your old profiles with Auto CAD 2008.
One of my workmates was having the same issue, and after changing the profile to the standard 2008, it worked great.

Let us know if yours works the same way!!!!

    Hi All,

I agree with matias_santini, also check your printer / plotter set up and the plot style manager. I found that I needed to set these up from the wizard rather than importing old settings. Once I had done all of the above AC2008 ran well. Prior to this it was as slow as treacle (or some other brown substance??!!)
    Cheers
