I am looking for a way to draw the equivalent of a polyline in Maya using polygonal geometry. I have figured how to do something like this with Nurbs, but going this route means that I end up with edges that are really curves and means I can't really snap in a friendly way.
I am used to other tools like formz, and sketchup where you can manually draw let's say the perimeter of a floor plate of a complex building shape or anything else that is planar but with a complex outline. I know that you could probably "sculpt" such a volume from a cube but is there not a more direct way like those other tools?
