seek failed on ---.rvt

Hi all,
A guy here in the office did a bunch of work on a project and now when we go to open it we get the dreaded seek failed on .rvt. I haven't been able to find much info on this so if anyone knows how to recover the project it would be very helpful. Thanks!

For the latest temp file I found it here:

C:\Documents and Settings\(your user name)\Local Settings\Temp

Sort By Date Modified,
I found a file named something like this with no file extension:
revittemp_2LEE7JNFGV9F280L59U1Q5D4VH5

I changed the name and added the .rvt and it was the file I was looking for and it worked.
