Dynamic Block acts weird when copied to and pasted from clipboard

Check this out! Has anyone ever seen their DBs do this? When this portion of a dwg was copied to the clipboard and pasted back into the original dwg some of the blocks get all weird.

Uhuh, even does it when you copy it into another drawing twice. Well Will, i'd say you got yaself puzzle there

I'm not going to climb onto my soap box again so soon, but this is another reason to use the COPY command instead of accelerator keys. It is possible the block table was corrupted somehow when the DB was copied into the drawing. Try an AUDIT and PURGE to see if it fixes anything.

I have no solutions for this OTHER than saying that the drawing displays two different behaviours ....

when the accelerator keys are used (for me it's Ctrl+C), the block goes all wonky.

when the COPY command is entered, the block comes out fine.

maybe don't use the accelerator keys when using this block ....

i've sent out e-mails to my group saying to to copy-paste most DBs for this very reason. tho, mostly my googly issues are field related...

I have noticed this with just geometry too. I have retrained myself to stop using the Ctrl+C copy for that reason. I've seen dynamic blocks lose grips even thought when opened in block editor they are fine. Something definitely is up.

Accelerator keys and the AutoCAD copy command are two entirely different animals. CTRL-C copies out to the clipboard, Copy does not.
