I have no idea how do place a 45 degree corner mullion or how to place the glass flush with the outside of the wall. See attachments.

Take a look at the following:

It beats me too. Seems to be a glitch. My work around so far has been to put the curtainwall into another wall and let the other wall be the corners.
I don't get how you change the custom ends?
I don't get how you get this dialog box

Dave, you have to replace the corner panels of each curtainwall by the custom family. Then select both panels (see them highlighted in red in the picture you posted?) and click on Properties. That's the dialog shown....now change the angle that's circled in red; you need to input the angle between the two curtainwalls. In your curtainwall, you need to remove the end mullions from either side. The special mullion in my example is part of the custom curtain panel.

This is what I do in that situation. Select all corner mullion(from both curtain walls) Press UP on the keyboard or UNPIN them and then just replace them with QUAD Mullion. That's it. Revit will delete the duplicate mullions.
I see that you need 45 degrees mullion. Sorry for my mistake.

Dave,
First you need to add different mullion types in your family browser by right clicking quad mullion for example and selecting new (or you can transfer project standards from one that already has this set up if you have one). Now, for the 45 deg mullion just make a new L-shape mullion, and use it to replace the current ones you have at your corner (select both rectangular mullions, unpin if necessary, and then change their type in the type pull down menu). Select delete types if an error message pops up to get rid of duplicates and then your set. If you need to change the sizes of the corner mullions then just select it, go to properties, and edit as needed. For the glass panel location, unfortunately you have to move each one individually by unpinning first, then clicking edit, and using the shape controls to move it where you want it. I have attached your same file with some of the changes I have described for you to use.
