need help creating Segmented family (similar to stairs + landing family)

Hello,
I've scoured the internet for this information for days now, does anyone happen to know how to create a family that works similar to stairs?

I'm trying to make a family of countertops that automatically places cabinets and stretches the countertop and when needed can turn the corner. I was thinking it could be done with line based family and some conditional counter placement but at this point I'm pretty lost. Any help would be much appreciated

I think you mean similar to how you draw stairs with the stair tool rather than how stairs themselves function.

You can create it with a line-based family. Do you need the doors to show?
