When I tried to access Autodesk's web site I got warning about invalid serial number. This is what shows on About page. I went through regular auhorization process when installing Rac 2008. Anyone have similar issues.

I think this is the same issue I had after upgrading.
Chad Smith posted a link to a fix explanation on this page which worked for me also.
http://forums.augi.com/showthread.ph...3&page=2&pp=30
it's about 4 posts down from the top - the link is quite small.
I've been having to send an e-mail to Autodesk w/ the serial number and request code for them to send me the authorization code.
I think the latest build may have fixed that issue. Are you installing the latest build or from the mailed DVD?
I think there are, or were, two serial number issues:
one when installing 2008 originally in order to obtain an activation code, extensively discussed in the forum,
and one when having installed a new build your serial number is set to zeroes...
and I've just noticed it's done it again on my install after the last build
Guess I'll have to look up Chad's post again for the fix link - must still be a problem.
..in fact here's the link
http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet...linkID=9243099
i sent an email to autodesk auth code department with my request code and they email me back. have not had a problem since.
we are using the original build from the cd
