    Default sloped joists

I need to show a sloped top on a 2"x12" joist (see attached) to have a sloped roof under the screen porch floor. The upper level of the screen porch is open screen sidewalls and under that is finished living area. My question is, is there a way to slope the tops of all of the joists with a mass object void at one time? if the outline of the floor wasnt irregular it wouldnt be an issue but to keep all of the tops of the joists in the same plane I could probably break it up in to sections but I would rather do it all at once.

    Thanks

If you don't need to schedule the beams, the easiest thing is to create walls for framing members, then make sure they are set to NON room bounding and the right material and size, then just array and attach them to the underside of the roof.
If you need them as actual structural members, just edit the beam family to contain an angle parameter from the top ref plan to the sketch of the extrustion so you can specify the slope.

Pick the undersie of your roof as the work plane. Then create a beam system. It will now slope with the roof.

You don't need a beam with an angle parameter...

What I am looking for is the bottom of the joist to be horizontal and the top to have an 1/8" +/- slope to it.

Ah. That will require a custom family.

A separate family for each section of joists? Or would I be able to just use one and it would work everywhere?

    Thanks

    Just one family.
