Default Unable to change the layer of an Object via the Layer toolbar

Typically when you select an item it will show up on the layer toolbar and you can change the layer there instead of having to go into the layer manager. that doesn't work for one of my users and i can't find out why. Anyone know what that is all about?

I am trying to save myself from reinstalling ACAD for her.

    thanks

    Hi,

Before going through the trouble of reinstalling, I would make sure the PICKFIRST system variable is set to 1.
