In our office environment, with the popularity of social networking sites, we were advised to use internet browsers only if necessary. I don't want to be mistaken as browsing the web during office hours while looking for an elusive system variable. (I even instinctively minimized this window, while I'm typing this because my manager is approaching ) I guess I have to blame this to my colleagues who actually play games on social networking sites during working hours.
Yes, everything you could want to know is in Help - but, as the programme becomes bigger and more complex, it becomes harder to find the info that you need.
I was once going to criticise someone on AUGI who asked how to change his modelspace background colo(u)r for not using Help. Luckily I checked first; changing the mspace background was something like entry number 35 of about 78 under the word "color". That was several releases ago so it's probably worse now.

I have a binder with little post-it notes. Many I remember (like filedia and imageframe) but others are more elusive. I am often the go-to person in the office.
I find Help very unhelpful unless you know enough to search for the exact wording but I am willing to look on-line to find helpful people on forums like this. Thank you!

The advantage of a digital cheat book is you can grab screenshots, links etc if appropriate. Often my cheats are literally a screen shot with a few numbered blobs to show where/when to click. Saves a lot of writing!

Search is also easier as can add terms so any one of "image, frame, outline" might help someone find solution to imageframe variable setting. I use MindManager as my master, export occasionally to Word or HTML for non-MindManager users
