keyboard shortcuts

I just tried to edit my shortcuts with the shortcut highway that was posted here some time ago, but it says that the program had expired. Then I tried to edit the shortcut text file to be what I wanted. However, when it loads the program now, it just loads the default shortcuts, and creates the keyboardshortcuts.log file. From what I understand, this is supposed to contain errors parsing the keyboardshortcuts file, so I must have errors somewhere, but the .log file is blank.

Can anyone help?

I've tried the Shortcut Highway program with some success in 5.1, but seemed to have trouble in 6.1. I think you have to manually find the text files for each version. I also was noticing errors in my journal files so I went back to editing the default version with a text editor.

I have attached mine in case you don't have a backup.

hmm... thank you. I do have a backup, but maybe I can use yours for comparison and figure out what is wrong with mine...

perhaps a wishlist item is to have an editor built in to Revit...

ok, I figured out what was wrong with the keyboard shortcut file that I had edited with my text editor. For all who may have this problem in the future, you must delete the semicolon in front of the text string as well as add the shortcut characters or it will not read it.

yeah, so that seems a little obvious now that I look at it...
