Good luck, where are you taking cad classes?
At two year or four year college?
    Vocational school?

The best place to learn the basics, and some advanced AutoCAD (in my area) is our local two-year community college.

The Universities around here either just barely touch base on AutoCAD or they teach a little bit of Microstation.

After board drafting and doing technical illustration (on and off) for a bunch of years, I took basic and advanced AutoCAD (among other classes) and within just a year or two I was knowledgeable enough to get a job doing what I liked.

Of course you should know how to draft first before you learn the program. It would be hard to learn both, at the same time....and learn them well.

    My two pennies..

    Welcome to the gang!

What's your affinity for drafting? Architecture, engineering? You said you wanted in out of the sun, nothing wrong with that! What do you do now, contracting?

This thread and forum are not the best place to ask this particular question. Anyways, GOOGLE "WIN RAR". That will open your package.
