    Default Scrolling and New Viewports

    Okay,
So I set up my drawing with annotative dimensionsing. I create a new viewport using MVIEW, and the dimensions show up. It's not until I set the viewport scale to something other than what the annotative objects are set to. Shouldn't the annotative objects be initially invisable until you set the viewport to the appropriate scale?

The same applies when you're in a viewport, and you're using the mousewheel to zoom in and out. Again, shouldn't the annotative objects become invisible until your viewport is set to the appropriate scale?

Attached is a drawing that you can try things out, and see what I'm getting at. Any help on this would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

Default Re: Scrolling and New Viewports

I've noticed that when you use the wheel to zoom in and out it only changes the vport scale, not the anno scale. In your drawing, even though the vport was some odd scale the anno scale was still 1/8" = 1'-0" and thats why it was still visible. Same thing happens when you create a new view port, it zooms extents of the objects so the vport scale is incorrect but the anno scale is still 1/8" = 1'-0". As soon as you change either the vport scale or the anno scale in the list at the bottom right corner, then everything works properly.
