    Question NO COPY & PASTE???

    All,

I have a quesiton. I work with several different plant layouts. Sometimes I want to copy and paste from one layout to another. The problem is I have one layout that does not let me copy and paste. It acts like it copies, but it doesn't show up anywhere. I also tried doing wblocks and that didn't work. Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Chad

Using any third-party plant design add-ons?

I don't think so, but many people have access to the file. There shouldn't be any xref's or anything like that.

Is this a drawing from another person? I've had this issue before with drawings created by a customer. If I recall, the solution was to purge the drawing, using the command line version of purge, and making sure to purge all regapps.

I believe there was an issue with the copy paste when using it with an originating drawing created on a newer version (2004+) to an older version (<2004).
What versions are at issue here?

Dumb question: Are both drawings in the same units? What about measurement (Imperial versus Metric)? Just a hunch.

To answer some of the above questions:

Both drawings are in english. The drawing was created in probably 2000, and we are currently using 2006 and 2007, but we have many, many drawings this same way and this is the only we have problems with.

I will try to purge the regapps and see what that does.

    Thanks everyone.
