Other Software to support Auto-CAD

I am using Auto-CAD-2007 and trying to create a Master Plan of the Facility consisting of dozens of x-ref files on both 2D and 3D. I know there are several numbers of software out there by Autodesk that support both horizontal and vertical applications like Auto-CAD Architectures, etc, What other software do you think I need to support my only software mentioned to successfully create my project the easy way. And what kind of Machine hardware’s requirements do you think are needed to run suggested software to run smoothly.

Therefore your project is on field architectures think you should use AutoCAD Architecture 2008.
Maybe this can't help in fact I am not degree for architecture but I am degree for mechanical engineering.

Revit would be an option as well, but you can do what you need to do with AutoCAD Architecture... it was designed for projects like the one you are doing.
