is there anyway to get a wipeout to play nice with a curved line, or even another solution? right now the dialog states that it requires a closed polyline made only of line segments - meaning no curves.

Nope. I experimented with this a while back to see if we could use them for detail bubbles. We had to make very short segments along the curve to to simulate a circle. It worked. Just took patience and the nearest osnap on...
Can you not draw a polyline and containing arcs and convert it into a mask block instead?
Just a thought not really tried it out.
Cheers,
hm. never tried. not even sure i know how. ill look into that later. thanksOriginally Posted by gdaniels

We've been making multiple wipeouts, and the solution we found is to use a polygon set to many (50 to 100) for an arc. It comes in as one piece, can be trimmed, and works great for a wipeout.
