    Default Stretch Handle in Family

    Hi All;
    How do I get this family to have a Stretch Handle once placed into a project? (I want to be able to place the family, then stretch the length to fit wall-to-wall).

    The parameter needs to be an instance parameter and the ref plane that drives it needs to be defined as a Strong Reference in the family.
    Keep in mind that you might need to re-create the parameter to make these changes stick

    Has something changed in 2017? I have done this a dozen times before in other releases, just switched to 2017. I created two referenced planes, created a model line, aligned the ends to the reference planes and locked the constraints, placed a dimension with a instance length parameter to the reference planes (Strong). I insert into model, the grips do not appear. Using Generic Model as a family. Thanks
