    Default Shop Drawings review stamp.

I'm interested in seeing others shop drawings reviewed stamps. Some off the shelf stamps can be found at:
    http://gwanderson.server101.com/ShopDraw.htm

I don't agree w/ the third one down that says "Approved" as we are only checking for design intent, not "approving: anthing.

Scans of your stamp are welcome.

    Thanks

    Hey Jake,

When I went electronic...I went all of the way. I stopped using rubber stamps when I started using Revit.
I have a standard one page letter which I use for all reviews. It has worked well for me since it gives me more room to say what really needs to be said on the subject, including review comments.

    Good Luck,
    Steve
Too bad about our user group meeting being cancelled....again!. I had a really nice little presentation ready for July's meeting on the new features in Revit 2008!
    Lunch Friday?

    Here's what I use.
I finally got rid of the rubber stamp.
I went back to using "approved" after having used "reviewed" for a while. First off it doesn't make a whit of difference whether you "reviewed" it or "approved" it, and I really hate weasel words.

If you went digital how do you keep track of a set of shop drawings?

The contractor should typically sign off first and typically with a stamp on the shop drawings.
Then the Architect get his or her review.
Are we always the final review? And if so is that what allows us to just attach an 8x11 stating that it was reviewed or what the comments are?

    Thanks for the example wolf.

    That's about it.
I don't review submittals which the contractor has nor signed off on first nor submittals which are not requested in the contract documents.
The contractor typically signs off directly on the documents. Attaching a paper copy wth my approval allows me to make comments on the form without having to mark up umpteen sets of submittals, and it allows me to file and thrack it much more easily

    Hey there,
    Yup....that's correct. I agree Wolff
The engineers are starting to do the same thing as well. Trying to keep up with all of the paperwork is a waste of time. Too busy learning Revit still! lol
