Default Problem: rotation parameter for generic annotation...

    Hello:

I'm having problems creating a generic annotation tag that contains a rotation parameter.
The tag in question will contain two items:

    (1) A symbol which parametrically rotates.
    (2) A label which does not rotate.

Based upon suggestions in other threads, I created an annotation symbol first, then loaded it into the annotation tag. I rotated the symbol, an applied an angular dimension to the symbol and assigned a rotation parameter to it.

Here's the problem: when I flex the family, the symbol's location will change whenever the rotation value exceeds 180 degrees. How can I stop this behavior?

I've attached the family. Any help/suggestions are welcome. Thank you!

Not sure what you mean about the symbol's location changing - I tried this out and it seemed to work fine. One change I made was to modify the rotation to be an instance parameter, so that I could place the symbol multiple times, and respecify the arrow rotation per placement.

The arrow symbol changes location when you flex it in the family editor which could be a problem if you're creating different family types. You could use a reference line with an angular
dimension in the arrow symbol family.
Select the arrow and circle and then 'Edit Work Plane' on the options bar and pick the ref line.
Rotate the arrow to be in line with ref line, upload it and then link it to a 'Rotation/angle' parameter in the main family.
