Post Rotated crop view/ coordinate with linked Revit file

This is the first project that we have done with a consultant in Revit. . . .

We are in schematic design and quickly moving into construction documents on a project. Now, that we are in CD's I need to rotate the plan 90 degrees to fit on the titleblock correctly. I figured out how to do this by rotating the crop view 90 degrees. So, that worked! But, the model from our structural engineer is laid out based on a previous architectural model prior to rotating the crop view. When I link the structural model in it is not in the same place as our model.

Any suggestions on how to resolve this?

    Thanks a lot.

Default Re: Rotated crop view/ coordinate with linked Revit file

You have to link your consultant's model into yours. Usually, if they used your model as a starting point, you could use the placement option "By Shared Coordinates" when linking. If not, then link in their model and move/rotate it to match your model. If the coordinates don't match between the two projects. don't bother with acquiring coordinates - simply pin the linked file in place.

I think you're confusing a view/sheet-specific setting (rotation on sheet) with linked files and shared coordinates. Hope this helps.
