    Default Trellis help

I need to create a trellis that is not rectangular. I can fake it using floor, but i need it to be a roof. attached is the view of the trellis that I need to create, which by the way was way too complicated to do. I'm hoping once i'm in the right direction, i can make it parametric instead of all the lines.

    thank you in advance.

I would try a beam system for this.

Try a Structural Beam System. The attached took about a minute, including loading a dimensional lumber structural component. I'm guessing you took a little longer than that.

You can also use the sloped glazing tool. Create a mullion profile to match the depth of your trellis members, lay out your system spacing in the type parameters and then have all the system panels as 'empty'. The advantage of this approach is that it is a roof object so walls can be attached to it.

If you really need it to be modeled i would use Dimitri's solution. But if not a simple fill pattern could do it to
