    Default MSLTSCALE

Why would you turn on the MSLTSCALE?

When you're working in paper space and model space, it allows you to switch between the two without having to adjust the LTScale. When both paper space and model space lt scales are set to 1, all the lines will display correctly in each space.

I think MSLTSCALE is a great feature of 2008

    You can say that again!

Of course I am still using 2006, my company doesn't see the need to purchase another AutoCAD right now...

Hmmm, I'm not so sure about it.
We have previously set LTscale to 1 & CELTscale set to the proposed scale we are going to print to. This way we know how the dashed or other complex linetype will appear.
MSLTscale appears to be the modelspace version of PSLTscale, & I find it very hit & miss for displaying complex lines (the insulation batt scale factor can be well out).

I think that's because CELTscale isn't at 1. I think msltscale, psltscale, and celtsacle should all be 1 (I think). It's worked fine for me, everything looks as it should whether I'm plotting, in model, or paper space.

You're correct. CELTscale should be at 1.
Not a recommended practice to overrride celtscale.
