I'm new at this, so here goes! Is it possible to import GPS waypoint data into Autodesk Map? I'm probably in the wrong forum.....Thanks in advance.

What format is that data in?
I think this is directly possible in MAP 3d
not just MAP.
Although you might be limited based on the export
format of the GPS data, to use of the Survey or Field Survey
products.
Hi
Please note I've *moved* this Topic (Thread) from the AutoCAD Customization Forum to this one as I believe it would be better served here.

The files are .loc & .gpx?
I'm trying to upload a Garmin unit.
Not without some further processing.
It sounds as if this is not a Survey grade
unit so that data would lack in accuracy.
Or there is some software that shipped with it that
will let you create a DXF file to import into MAP.
You should also be able to export to a text file of some sort. With that you can Import them into Map3D directly using the Civil>> Points>> Import and Create Points command. If you are not in Map3D you could write a script to issue the point command and run your XYZ's (need to be comma delimeted).

Check out GPS2CAD & GPS2CAD-rv by AzTechSoft. I haven't ever used these programs, but it sound like they will do what you want.
