The users in our network print their A2-drawings with Design Review2008:
> see [incorrect] in PrintDialog.jpg
> setting Papersize to A4
> setting the "page handles" option on the print dialog to "Choose paper source by DWF page size" = true
>>>> and receiving a A2-output.
Our print account management is only accounting the papersize A4 from the print dialog !!!
The question is: How can we get a correct print account management ???
The print dialog receives the according paper-sizes from the printer driver and fills the listbox.
The printed paper-size comes from the DWF-page-size an has nothing to do with the listbox.
IMHO this is the source of the mistake: The print account management is listening for windows-messages
>The generated windows-messages from the PrintDialog are NOT based on the sizes seen in the yellow rectangle.
>I have always thought about the sizes in the yellow rectangle, that these are the results, the conclusion of all my inputs in the print dialog
>Even if I don't change anything in the appearing print dialog, with the "Choose paper source by DWF page size" option =true, the accounted papersize is wrong !!!
If the users would choose:
> see [correct] in PrintDialog.jpg
> setting the paper-size manually
> AND
> setting the "page handles" option on the print dialog to "Choose paper source by DWF page size" = false,
>>>> all will be fine
> the choosen paper-size will be printed even if the DWF page size is larger
> AND the printed paper-size will be accounted correct!!!
> Look at the correct part from PrintDialog.jpg and you can see the correct paper size in the yellow rectangle !!!
A primary possible solution is:
>disable the "Choose paper source by DWF page size" option on the print dialog,
>therefore the users have to select the correct papersize manually...
How can we disable the "Choose paper source by DWF page size" option:
>setting a key in the registry ???
A secondary solution is:
>let the print account management know the REALLY printed page-size
>this looks like a naming-conflict...
thank you for your tipps&tricks...
by the way:
>i have posted this message two days ago in the autodesk-discussion-group Design Review2008
>i have never seen my posting in the thread-list and therefore nobody will answer...
>the problem described here is a problem between our print account management and Design Review2008 (DWF-Viewer7 and DWF-Viewer5 also) and we must solve this problem as quick as possible
thanks again for your inputs!
