    Default Spherical Renders

Can I make spherical renders in VIZ 2006? I want to make a panoramic view (fisheye's like)and don't know how to do it. Can anyone help me?

    TIA

    Eric

That is an effect reserved for 3ds MAX...

Never tried it, so I don't really know what I'm talking about, but...

How is that only for Max? Isn't it as simple as shortening your camera lens to something around 8-10mm? I mean, that's how you get fisheye phtoos in the real world, right? Does Viz not allow camera lenses that small?

Does the stock 15mm camera in Viz 2006 not create this effect? Maybe not there seems to be a few third party plug-ins which are boasting this as one of their features.

You could also look at using the Fisheye filter in Photoshop.

I dunno if the 15mm would be wide enough to really get a good fisheye effect as I don't think it'd have a near 180-degree coverage.

The PS filter would probably do the job tho'...

In max there is a camera blur/fisheye effect. Check in help and search fisheye. In VIZ, no such beast. PS would be a good alternative though.

I'm guesing you want to make something like a quicktime....check this out!

    http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/cubicvr

I don;t have VIZ, but i don;t see any reason why it won;t work. If you just want to do a simple panoramic render you can chnge the render out put to be a wider format...as well as render the camera at 15 degree increments and stitch them together using panorama software.

I'll have to check but i'm almost positive that you can render different camera types from MR.
