Default AutoCAD 2008 Tool Palette order

I'm still having some issues with my network shared Tool Palettes, in that the tools are reverting back to the order they were created in for each individual user. If I add a new tool and then move it to the top, my users will see that new tool still sitting the bottom...

I was under the impression that AutoCAD 2008 had fixed this problem, and that Tool Palettes changes would now write the display order into the file as it was changed. Or was it all just a dream?

Does ARCHIdigm post, "Tool Palette Disorder in AutoCAD and Verticals", help?

At the end of the post, it was mentioned making the profile.aws file read-only. ~shrug~

I don't know much else, as I do not deal with the Tool Palettes often enough.

Making it read-only works great until I, as the CAD Manager, want to update the Palette. That's when it gets interesting.

That's a great resource Opie. Thanks for posting it.

I've been using the low-tech method but I will definitely try modifying the XML next time I need it.
