Default Problems with Linked AutoCAD Files

When we import dwg files as a link in REVIT 2008 (as well as 9.1) the lines are crooked. example: stair lines are all at different angles. (see attached). Anyone has the same issue?

your DWG file is drawn a long way away from 0,0 in AutoCAD. Move all DWG objects closer to 0,0, save, and reload into Revit.

We have xref'd the drawing to another drawing and then moved teh xref to 0,0.

Did that work? Did it solve the squiggle-line problem?

It would be great if Revit could handle objects drawn a long way from 0,0. Does Autodesk have any plans regarding this issue?

    cheers
