We have recently begun to experience an unusual plotting problem. Objects created in model space plot differently than objects created on the layout tab. For example, a circle is drawn on layer X in model space. That circle is brought into a viewport in paper space. Another circle is created directly in paper space using the same layer X. Color & linetype are all BYLAYER.
When a plot preview is reviewed, both circles look the same.
When sent to the plotter, the circle created in model space plots correctly. The circle created in paper space looks like in was printed using a screened layer… very faint.
I can go back to an old drawing file and it will plot just fine using the same set up (plotter & CTB file).
We are using ADT2006 & ABS2006 with a Xerox 8825 plotter.
Any ideas as to what could be causing this?
Dave
