geological point data (xyz) from AutoCad to excel

Excel will import dxf files with geology xyz data but... not comprehensively. My files are large (+3000 data points) so i can't manually pick out the points from the scrambled excel output.

I tried getexcel.lisp in Autocad 2007 and it would load but wouldn't run.

is there a way to gey the xyz point data into a comprehensive excel spreadsheet using only autocad 2007?

i need the data in spreadsheet format to input to a Surfer grid.

Can you get hold of or use any Survey processing software? Most will do this for you.
We use one called n4ce which exports the points as a txt file which can then be imported into an excel file if needed.
I would imagine anything similar would do this task for you.
