    Cool 3d paving and roads

Is there a simple or manageable method to create a profile of a pavement section and extrude it along a topological drape such that the pavement follows the topological map?

I think that's what I would do. Use the drape tool to create you surface for the site. Then use the drape tool again to model the road bed. Make a copy of that. Use the first one to subtract that mass from your site mass and place the copy in it's place. Or at least that's what I'd try.
