RPC Trees

I have always wondered why RPC trees seem to do a pirouette when your camera moves by them in an animation. Does anyone know why this happens and how to stop it? I used to have alibrary of trees that I made by rendering each RPC and them mapping the image on to two 2D planes that I put together in a cross shape. This helped the "moving tree" problem, but I have since lost that library.

I would like to use the RPC trees, but don't want them (or their shadows) to look like they are moving in an animation.

Select a tree and go to the motion tab....then look and see if there is a look at controller on the RPC tree for rotation. If thats what it is, then just change it to a normal Euler XYZ.

I did a test in an empty scene with only one tree and it looked fine. I ran an animation in a model i am working on and all of the trees do the dance. Could this have something to do with having the multiple RPC's in the scene? I didn't copy the trees around, I inserted them all individually. And I checked the controller, the rotation is set to Euler XYZ.
