Default Importing text in RS2008 is different?

Currently like most users we have a library of typical details that exist in AutoCad.
In order to save drafting time we have been linking in the AutoCad typical details into individual Revit drafting views. One of our drafters has noticed that when linking in the details in RS2008 the text justification is not consistant.
In RS4 the linework and text came in the correct location but if the same file is linked into RS2008 there are justification problems. (see attached image)

If the detail is imported into RS4, saved, and imported from the RS4 Revit file to the RS2008 file it appears correctly. I fear that any details we prepped for importing into RS4 will now have to be modified to display properly in RS2008...

Anyone else experiencing this or have a solution?

Yes, we noticed this behaviour as well.
Try using the JUSTIFY command in Autocad to change the justification to Middle Left instead of simply Left. That did the trick for us - at least for DText. We avoid Mtext in work destined for Revit becuase of the line-wrapping issue.

Thumbs down Re: Importing text in RS2008 is different?

    Thanks Jos,

That is the route we are going as well.
All typical details require the text to be exploded to dtext. While it is a workaround it is in no way a solution. Especially when you need to edit the text.
Just when you thought your details were Revit ready...
