Content browser I-drop not working

There have been other threads about this problem, but none of them seemed to help me. I want to grab some tool from my content browser, but the I-drop finction is not working. The little I-drop icon doesn't even show next to the tools. It has worked in the past, but now it doesn't.

I am using ADT 2006.

Sounds bad, sounds like your iDrop has failed in some way. Is it always like this, or has it been just during this session? If a reboot doesn't fix it then you will have to look at some way of reloading the iDrop functionality.

Have you made any changes to MS Office or Internet Explorer recently? If so either apply the latest updates to both of these or run a repair installation on both.

If it still doesn't work after that it may be a dll file not registering properly, enter regsvr32.exe ole32.dll at the run prompt on the start menu. Then see if it works.
NB: Close ADT down (and any other programmes) first.

It used to work, but now it doesn't no matter haw many times I reboot. I ran that ole32 dll and it was sucessfull. Still no luck though.

Did you try updating and/or repairing MS Office and IE first?

I ran the desktop installation again and "fixed" any problems. It worked. Only thing is now I have to re-customize all of my command aliases, support paths, etc......

So you ran the Installation Repair function from the Autodesk CD and it trashed all your customisations? Man, that's harsh!
