    Default Hair & Fur shadows?

I'm using Hair & Fur to make grass and it works well but shadows from my trees and bldgs do not show up on the grass. How can I get the Hair & Fur grass to receive shadows?
    Thanks for the help

What kind of light settings are you running? Are they using Shadow maps?

I'm using the mr Sun & Sky with the standard settings for the lighting. The ground is a plane that I changed to a editable mesh and added the Hair and Fur(WSM). I loaded the preset tall grass from the Tools. The only thing that I changed from the preset grass was that I scaled it down under the General Parameters. I did not add any Shadow maps.
Thanks for your help. I'm sure it is somthing small but it has me stumped.

    Craig,

Go to the effects dialogue and in the Hair Rendering Options Group...choose mr prim from the Hairs dropdown. Whats happening now is that the hair pass is being rendered last and thrown on top...so your other shadows don;t show up. MR prim will help...but there will be an increase in the render time....actually a fair jump in render times. But you'll have your shadows.

Thanks! I'll give it a try. I knew it had to be something small.
    Thank you for the help
