    Default Visual states resetting?

    See attached:
This is my BD for rebar in walls, slabs etc. I'm having issues with horizontal (dot) rebar disappearing when I change the wall thickness. Can anyone explain how I can keep the spacing when switching wall thickness? Also, how do you get rid of the "custom" in the lookup table? I'm still new to DB's, especially lookup tables so be gentle.

i have no idea. have you tried a stretch instead of a move for the width to see if that matters?

oh, and the custom means that something is being set to non-standard from your list, so check your settings in the lookup that's causing the "custom" to show up in the other.
Sometimes, i get lost in my own thoughts and need to ask directions to find my way back.

Could you elaborate a little bit on that idea. I tried just taking it out of the table and nothing works at all when I do that.

It looks to me like you already had the rebar set to visible in all states, but when I selected them and selected from the context menu "Show for all states" it seems to have solved the disappearing problem.

That just makes them all visible in all states. Meaning I see all the rebar and not the ones for that particular spacing I want.

This would be much simpler if ACAD would let you have multiple vis parameters!!!!!!!!!!! In stead I have to create a vis state for all double layer reinf and more for single layer reinf then use multiple lookup tables, one to set the wall thickness, one for single layer reinf and one for double layer reinf. Am I going about this all wrong??? I still can't figure out the whole "custom" thing. When I set the wall thickness, the reinf. spacing gets set to custom or, if I set the reinf spacing, the wall thickness gets set to custom. Can some one please help me understand this before I pull out what little hair I have left?
