Default Rotation angle in Properties not to current UCS

I want to change text (or blocks) to align with the current UCS - simple, use Quick Select to pick all the text entities, open the Properties dialog and set Rotation to 0. BUT the angle shown in Rotation is relative to the WCS, not the current one! I am sure this didn't used to be the case (I am using 2008LT) - is there a setting somewhere that I have missed?

    Strange.
I've just tried it 2008LT and, for text, it works as you would expect - rotation is shown relative to the current CS.
You mention Blocks; are you looking at text within blocks?

Must be something in my installation - text and blocks show rotation relative to WCS regardless of the current UCS, but I can't find any settings that refer to this.
As you can imagine, this is a real pain - either work out the relative angle to change objects en masse or perform multiple rotation commands.

I've just tried it on a friend's 2006 (full) and it's the same:
Created a UCS rotated 25deg to WCS. Insert text at angle 0 - select and look in Properties and Rotation is given as 25deg whether UCS or WCS is current.
Insert block in UCS with rotation 30deg - Properties shows 55deg!

Did you try using SNAPANG to see if the rotation set in properties will honor that?

I just tried in 2008MDT and got the same result as I did in 2008LT so I'm none the wiser.
