Default Attaching to non parallel work plane?

The question: Can I attach an object to a non parallel work plane? How?

Background: I've been creating my roofs, slabs etc... Then afterwards setting my work plane to the bottom of it. Next I create my beams. The great thing is that they now follow the slab/roof around if it moves.

I've now got a new engineer on board. He created the beams for the roof on the 'roof level' so they are flat. The roof isn't flat. Can I now attach those to the under side of the roof after the fact. If I pick a beam and select "Edit work plane..." it only allows me to select parallel work planes. Not my sloped roof.

    Thanks Sage

Either make the roof flat temporarily or sketch a new reference plane parallel to the beams and then assign them to the new workplane (make sure you name the ref plane). Then you can rotate the ref plane to be parallel to the roof. Now you can switch them to the roof.

    Genius. Pure genius.

Note to self: Why make the beam go to the reference plane when you can make the reference plane go to the beam.

    So awesome!
