Summary: The ability to set the opacity of a hatch from 0 - 100%
Description: A solid hatch opacity setting from 0-100%.
How Used: Right now, the only way to replicate an opaque hatch in ACAD is with a very fine scaled hatch pattern. And the only way to judge the opacity of the hatch is with visual inspection at the printer. Hatch object ordering needs to be played with in order to get the right look.
After trial and error, one can devise a set of in-house hatch standards that resemble opacity settings, but the application of such standards will limited to ACAD files produced with the simlar pen and style settings.
A reliable parametric (adjustable sliding scale) opacity setting for solid hatches will improve the presentation quality and reliablity of ACAD drawings. It will obviate the need for using other programs to produce solid fills with opacity settings. It will also save users the trouble of having to export ACAD data to such programs over and over again with each ACAD revision.
