    Cool Erection drawing (Anchor Bolt)

1-Can someone tell if there is a way to have anchor bolt place in the drawing but NOT TO SCALE for erection drawing. Is the only way to have the anchor bolt shown (visually as we do in autocad) is to draw them by sketching ... hope not.

I think that my system is working slow, I don't not if it's normal but we do only small building and i wonder why?

P4 dual core 4 Gig 1.86 GHz Intell, 80 Gig, windows XP,

    thank you

    Welcome to the forums Marc.
You can have your anchor bolt display pretty much any way you want. It depends on how you want to represent it.
Does it need to be 3D or is the erection drawing a 2D view?
Are you modelling all your anchor bolts? (Might be a clue to the performance issues)

If you really need to model them you can create a family that has the 'real' thing as 3D geometry and turn that off in plan. You can then use symbolic lines to show the bolt in plan however you need to.

I would rather have them in 2D, ( For the Fondation Drawing )

My major problem is for the dimensionnig it seem to be impossible to do so not to scale, beside drawing them by sketching.

    Thank you

As mentioned, you can create your base plate family and have the graphic display whatever you want. If your anchor bolt is a hex head you can have it show up as a square, a circle, a cross air, whatever. You can then dimension to that and still maintain the integrity of the actual modeled elements.

Hey Marc, do you mean you want them bigger then regular size by "to do so not to scale"?
