Default schedule table style - trouble updating template

I've created a new sch tab sty but i'm having problems updating the template file. When I drag and drop from the style mgr, it shows the new schedule, but all of the columns, text, etc. changes are not there. It's showing the original format schedule that I started from. Any ideas?

This drove me absoulutely crazy. The problem seems to be that the Schedule Table Style is referring to Property Set Definitions that are still in the template drawing, so it won't completely purge out the old version of the Schedule Table Style.

The way I got this to work was go to the Style Manager, right click on "drawing1.dwg" (or whatever it is), and select "purge". Note: This will purge out everything not used, so you may need to re-import items.

Rather than purging everything, you may want to try updating the Property Set Definitions in the source file first, and then updating the Schedule Table Style. If you added columns to the Schedule Table Style that represent new properties that do not exist in the version of the Property Set Definitions in your source file, those columns will simply dissappear from the updated Schedule Table Style. If all of your changes were of that nature, it will appear as though the Schedule Table Style was not updated.

You will also want to keep the above in mind if you want to add your new Schedule Table to an old drawing that already has the old Property Set Definitions in it. You will need to update the old Property Set Definitions first, then add the new Schedule Table.
