Parameters from Other Categories

When creating a generic annotation family is it possible to use parameters from other categories without actually assigning it as that category?

Eg, I want to access parameters related with project information that are available with title block category but it seems as though i have to keep the family as that category just so i can use them.

No - a lot of that is hard coded in Revit. What are you trying to accomplish?...

I was trying to create a simple 'title stamp'. Something small that gave the project specifics that I could insert onto the views as a symbol (or something like it).

I don't want to have to create sheets for the individual views. I've noticed that even the title blocks have their own little limitations/benefits though. For example if you create a borderless titleblock (because I just want to print to fit my layout with this 'stamp') when you specify to print that sheet it will will zoom onto the titleblock only (no matter how small) and ignore the remaining contents of the sheet (the inserted view).

I suppose in general it would have been good to be able to access those other parameters, not jsut for title blocks.

I can't seem to be able to add a family parameter to my titleblocks, only shared parameters.

What's with that?
