Is it possible to flip dimension text?

Check out the read convention settings in the type parameters of the text style
Dimitri,
Thanks for the quick reply. The Read Convention did work on one set of dimensions but not on another. I failed to tell you one thing. I had rotated the view 90 degrees clockwise from its original view. Maybe thats why the former horizontal dimensions that are now vertical will not flip to the other side of the dimension string?
See Attached.
In version 5 and 5.1 of Revit you could have a dimention text above or under the dimension line and - if I remember correctly left or right oriented. I.e. it could serve any situation. And it was good. For whatever reason this functionality has been removed from Revit and it's a great pity. I wrote several times already about this - to no avail.
Programmers must have had a reason for doing this ... ... I hope they didn't anticipate enhancements back then and they still haven't materialized ... ... so it has gone unfixed. Wouldn't surprise me if this is the case.
I for one - am anticipating text and dimension enhancements in R2009. Perhaps things will be fixed.
