I have attached another example - Except its got more contoured shape.
this has been acheived by lofting sections then manipulating the grips to acheive the contours.
This took about 15 - 20 mins to complete.

Mike.

Yes, this model was produced in Autocad release 2008.
On the solid modelling toolbar there is a loft tool.
Its definitely a solid model - I thought all models had grips!
I've never heard "loft" before, I'll have to look into that, I don't even know if I have a modeling tool bar (ADT 2006).
What I meant about grips was, a native AutoCAD solid model has grips but you can't manipulate them. If you grip a "grip" and try to move it, the whole model moves.
You had mentioned manipulating grips, which I didn't think was possible with a solid model.
You can manipulate the solid model in 2008.
Try pressing "control" then select the model - Do the Grips appear?
Have you tried to manipulate the model I posted yesterday?
This forum is for ACAD 3D 2007 and above, so maybe some of the commands are not available in earlier versions.
It must be a 2008 thing, I can't manipulate the grips on your model, I even tried ctrl as suggested. I can select the model and it show grips at the model corners. If I hold ctrl and select the model, it goes through the normal selection "cycle".
Thanks any way.
Sorry for the confusion.
