    Hi Mike welcome to AUGI.

Generally you will find that most people will create their own templates, although would use one of the templates that come with Autocad as a base rather than starting from scratch.

Is there a particular problem/issue that you're running into?

Start with a "clean" drawing that has everything you want in it (layers, text styles, etc, and do a "save as" to a .dwt file, place it in a directory of your choice. You can go to "options" and have that directory be the default template folder when you type "new" and/or "qnew".

We have several templates, specifically for plans, elevations, details, and specific layout sheet sizes etc.
