Smile Total Area SF and actual Wall Area SF

Is there a way to do a gross floor area take off in SF, and then to deduct the wall coverage area? I would like to determine the actual usable areas of the floor plan by area and deduct the area of the wall area. Is there a way to do this?

If I am reading your question right...... you want sf to be from face of studs and then sf from face of wall. I have not tried to set this up as a formula subtracting one from the other. I have just done it as one or the other.

I do not see why you could not do two fields. One as the sf of the room from face of wall and the other from face of stud and in a note / comment field you would state which was which.

If all you are after is NET area then use a room schedule and be sure to set the room area to face of wall not centerline of wall. Make sure all walls are room bounding.
You will need to create an area plan with a single boundary at the outside face of your perimeter walls to get the overall gross floor area. Unfortunately there is no way to automatically enter this value in your room schedule
