Default Match Properties for MEP Styles

    Hello,

Is there a way? In traditional CAD, I survive on the matchprop command.

As an example, I draw a few plumbing systems on different systems, and if I want to change one to the other, I change 'System Name' from the 'System' section of the 'Properties' palette. Shouldn't there be a way to do this with a command? Maybe I can write a macro or a small lisp routine to read a source system name from an object and write to another (if this feature is not available)?

    Thanks,
    Paul

    Cmon,

If this feature is not available OOTB, then there has to be a way to programmatically extract and set the system name of an object. Maybe this is through the .NET api or maybe through LISP? I know someone has to know.

    Thanks,
    Paul

When you draw multiple plumbing lines (or anything for that matter) you can right click on the object you want to modify (change the system type) and select "Plumbing Line Modify"

This will pop up a dialog box that you can change the system to any system in the drawing.

This will be different depending on the object you select, but you can do this for basically anything.

Thanks ndbrainard for the help. This is nice; however, I would still like to have a very fast shortcut for matching one system to another, similar to matchprop for regular ACAD objects.

As far as I know this is currently not possible. Sounds like a great Wish List item to me.
