Cool Revit Google Earth - Globe Link

    Hello there,

I am trying to publish a simple Revit model with the Globe Link of Autodesk. However, nothing is shown in Google Earth?

    Anyone having the same problems????

It works for me this way.

    1. open both revit and google.
    2. browse in google to your site
    3. from revit, external tools, Aquire site from google
    4. Model your building on that site.
    5. From revit external tools, publish to google.

It works pretty well with import KMZ file, after the fact as well. First, i export an image from google earth, making sure to have used the same addy im using to get the KMZ file. (GE puts the "placemark" where it considers the *origin* to be.

I place that IMAGE in the floor plan, and scale it to my site plan so its the correct size. Then i use the Import KMZ file feature, and the little Model Grouped Origin comes in, and i relocate it to where the placemark is in the image. I usually have to nudge it once or twice and reexport, to get it perfect.

But, i dont always start with Google Earth, so i prefer it this way...
