Question Missing text in command line

I recently experienced a loss of the command prompt and user typed text within the command line dialog box. The cursor moves as though the text is there but it, and the system prompts) are invisible. Can anyone help please.

Default Re: Missing text in command line

    Try this on for size....

This problem occurs if the background color of the command line is the same as the text color. To change the command line text or background color in AutoCAD®, either use the OPTIONS command or change the color scheme in Control Panel.

For more information about managing the AutoCAD colors, refer to related solutions and the "Color Options Dialog Box" topic in AutoCAD Help. For more information about changing colors in Control Panel, search on the term "schemes" in the Windows® Help.
